- [08:33:23]lolmausOh
- [08:33:26]lolmausI see
- [08:33:47]lolmausI thought DW has got an agile syntax replacement system
- [08:35:18]lolmaussplitbrain, 4) I've finally got a long-wanted invite to a Russian IT community site. Going to publish a number of articles about DokuWiki there. Do you have an eye to a good DokuWiki overview article for me to use as an introduction?
- [08:35:49]splitbrainhmm, the wikipedia page is quite nice
- [08:36:31]splitbrainat least the english and german ones, dunno about the russian version
- [08:36:35]lolmausThat community has a strict rule that only original material can be published there. That's why i'm going to post my use case article there first and then to dokuwiki.org.
- [08:36:53]splitbrainfine with me
- [08:39:06]lolmausYeah English Wikipedia articles are always a standard. Russian articles lack impartiality, timeliness, comprehensiveness.

- [11:15:04]gammaproductionhey there - splitbrain, chris—s - I'm experiencing several problems with the current development release. I figured that at least one comes from the new class autoloader. More specific: I cannot download any plugins anymore, because the "decompress" method in plugins/plugin/ap_download.class.php uses the defines (COMPRESS_XZIP starting line 202) in TarLib.class.php before it has been loaded (autoload does that in line 211).
- [11:15:45]gammaproductionanother thing is that the include plugin has some problems - it displays data below the included page - even though it should not - I have not figured out that yet
- [11:16:19]splitbraingammaproduction, make sure you have a very recent devel version
- [11:16:28]splitbraineg. from this morning
- [11:16:31]gammaproductioni just updated 2 hours ago
- [11:16:35]splitbrainokay
- [11:17:29]splitbrainI see
- [11:17:32]splitbrainthat's a problem
- [11:18:44]splitbraingammaproduction, can you create bug reports please
- [11:18:48]gammaproductionok
- [11:19:23]Chris--Sgamma, you can make a fix and push a patch to splitbrain if you like
- [11:19:34]Chris--Smove the new line to just after the require
- [11:19:51]Chris--Sie. 213 to 201
- [11:20:17]Chris--Ssplitbrain, should their still be a require?
- [11:20:31]Chris--Sam I looking at an out of date xref?
- [11:20:41]gammaproductionchris—s I think the case is more complicated there
- [11:20:54]Chris--Show is that?
- [11:21:06]Chris--Srequire, switch, new
- [11:21:07]gammaproductionI think xref is out of date ...
- [11:21:10]gammaproductionnope
- [11:21:17]Chris--Sbecome require, new, switch
- [11:21:17]gammaproductionwell not currently
- [11:21:26]Chris--Syou're right
- [11:21:28]gammaproductionhave a look at the git ...
- [11:21:41]Chris--Swe need the switch to do the new
- [11:21:45]gammaproductionI'd either add a require or instantiate a dummy
- [11:22:16]gammaproductionnot sure which is less expensive - I'm not a pro in memory management ;)
- [11:23:28]Chris--Sthose defines probably should be come class constants
- [11:23:47]Chris--Sand be referenced using the class name, which should trigger the autoload
- [11:24:40]gammaproductionsounds good to me - but will be some refactoring
- [11:24:55]gammaproductionand might break plugins that rely on it (are there any?)
- [11:25:03]Chris--Sautoloading doesn't work well with code outside of class definitions
- [11:25:24]Chris--Stry a quick grep on the constant names
- [11:26:04]Chris--Sthe unfortunate thing is its a third party file
- [11:26:24]Chris--Sbut it looks like its already been customized, so a little more shouldn't matter
- [11:29:25]Chris--Sgammaproduction, splitbrain: git pull doesn't work for me, says it doesn't know what to pull from
- [11:29:40]gammaproductionmhm … haven't had that
- [11:29:53]Chris--Sif you do a 'git status'
- [11:30:07]Chris--Sdoes it tell you the repositories you have defined?
- [11:30:34]gammaproductionnope, just the current branch
- [11:30:37]gammaproductionand the changes
- [11:30:52]Chris--Sthere are three, master, requireall, stable
- [11:30:57]Chris--Si guess we're on master?
- [11:31:03]gammaproductionyup
- [11:32:04]Chris--Sgot it
- [11:32:09]Chris--Sgit pull url master
- [11:32:37]gammaproductioncan you do that on an existing repository path?
- [11:32:54]Chris--Sit did stuff and didn't complain
- [11:32:59]Chris--Sso I'm taking that as a yes
- [11:33:01]Chris--S:)
- [11:33:02]gammaproduction^^ok
- [11:33:25]Chris--Swe're good on the use of the constants elsewhere
- [11:34:04]gammaproductionmeaning we could change them to class members without problem in DWs core

- [11:51:42]gammaproductionchris—s I tried something that may solve the problem … I'll send a patch to the mailing list for discussion
- [11:53:16]gammaproductionits a mix of the current defines and statics in the TarLib clas
- [11:53:18]gammaproduction+s
- [11:53:41]Chris--Sdid you modify the class itself?
- [11:53:50]gammaproductionyes - had to
- [11:54:03]gammaproductionI added statics for each define
- [11:54:56]gammaproductionso you can call/use them elsewhere using TarLib::Compress*whatever and the class gets loaded and initializes the values using the defines
- [11:59:23]Chris--Sdo I need to do anything to get autoloading to work?
- [11:59:31]Chris--Sits not loading ziplib for me
- [12:00:00]Chris--Sa bug I think
- [12:00:42]gammaproductionmhm … instantiating a ZipLib should be enough
- [12:00:50]gammaproductionsee inc/load.php
- [12:00:59]Chris--Si did a patch too. i removed all the current defines. that will force anyone using current defines to redo their code
- [12:01:34]gammaproductiondunno which way is the proper one :D
- [12:01:40]Chris--Sbut I think that would be necessary anyway, as its very unlikely they would be calling TarLib at the same time plugin was active
- [12:03:54]gammaproductionthats my suggestion: http://dokuwiki.pastebin.com/M8e41NEC
- [12:05:07]Chris--Ssplitbrain ... still here?
- [12:05:32]splitbrainI'm here but busy with work stuff, sorry
- [12:05:58]Chris--Show does autoloading work?
- [12:06:24]adrianlangChris--S: automatically?
- [12:06:27]Chris--Si see tarlib and ziplib both in load and both instantiated in the same manner in ap_compress
- [12:06:46]Chris--Starlib is loaded fine, ziplib isn't and results in a fatal error
- [12:07:14]adrianlangChris--S: There’s a typo
- [12:07:20]adrianlangI’ll push a fix
- [12:08:29]Chris--Swhere is the typo? ... I have other stuff to push ... tarlib constants
- [12:08:44]Chris--Si see it :)

- [13:44:10]Chris--Sthe thing that gets me is the time its assigned to my other patch.
- [13:44:58]Chris--Sthat is the time I made the patch. is it the time it hit the dokuwiki master repo
- [13:47:00]splitbrainthe merge commit is basically an addition to make your original patch apply on the tree (or so I understand it) they are one unit now

- [14:33:24]chimericgammaproduction: nope
- [14:33:58]gammaproductionok … might be broken as well … having strange behavior that doe not comply to my settings ...
- [14:34:06]chimericgood news though, the really busy time at work work is over for a while, I might find some time to look at stuff while I'm sitting in my office
- [14:34:20]gammaproductionmight be a problem of the recent merge as well
- [14:34:25]chimericI see
- [14:34:37]chimericI don't intend to "fix" bugs related to the requireall patch though

- [14:40:44]chimericI can only guess, but probably to make sure the temporary file doesn't exist before it's written
- [14:42:54]Michituxchimeric: yes, but there are problems with ids that contain characters that aren't allowed in filenames e.g. on windows, e.g. ":" and I wonder what happens when $id is something like ../../conf/local.php...
